The Water by Brian O’Gorman

My review for The Water by Brian O’Gorman, 4/5 stars.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water…Brian O’Gorman writes another horror story! The residents of Hurndell Village live in a picturesque part of the country with a reservoir that brings in the tourists and where they can go to relax. Until the day a mysterious rock falls out of the sky and lands in the water.

The author brings his unique mix of ordinary, real-life characters and gory events to this book, creating yet another page-turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Just as you get to know a character and like (or hate) them, the inevitable happens. As I’ve said before, Brian’s writing reminds of Stephen King, in the way he creates characters and situations that anyone can relate to.

I enjoyed reading this book and I particularly liked the twist at the end, I definitely didn’t see that coming! And at least there weren’t any spiders in this one!
